While dive computers are all the rage in modern diving, good old fashioned standard gauges are never going to go out of style. Did you know that the most advanced technical tri mix divers generally use computers as a backup, if they even use them at all? That’s right! These advanced divers use brass and glass SPG’s, and simple depth gauges and timing devices. You really don’t NEED a computer to go diving, and if you are on a budget, standard gauges are the way to go. Besides, if you opt for a computer later on, your standard gauges then become your backup (or your computer can be the back up for your standard gauges) |
