for twin, backmounted steel tanks, since any additional weight from the plate
is not necessary. Traveling divers who prefer a hard back plate also appreciate
the lighter weight of an aluminum back plate. (1.75 lbs compared to 5.75 lbs)
due to the new airline weight restrictions. Three center holes accommodate
standard double tank bolt kits along with a bottom slot to accommodate band
bolts that are slightly off the standard 11" center. 22 accessory holes
along the perimeter of the plate allow for mounting lights, pony bottles, lift
bags and other accessories. One-inch and two-inch slots along the bottom permit
diver's choice of crotch straps. 3 sets of two-inch slots along the center
allow single-tank divers to use cam straps without a single tank adaptor. . OMS's Superior deburring process eliminates back plate sharp edges and prevents
