Dive Rite Travel BC Setup, 40 lbs, lift Travel 360 Wing (new style)

Dive Rite Transplate with Aluminum Backplte

A hybrid harness designed for divers who want the support of a backpack-style harness for better weight-load distribution, yet wish to dive a hard metal backplate.

Designed like a mountaineer's backpack,
The TransPlate harness disperses weight across the hips and back, minimizing shoulder strain. When used with a 6-pound steel backplate, divers can remove or minimize weight pockets,

Adjustable straps adapt to a wide variety of exposure suits and means easy donning and doffing. The modular design allows for customization with a wide variety of pockets and accessories. The TransPlate is designed to be used with any wing, except the Travel Wing, in the Dive Rite line. Available in sizes M-XXL. Made in the U.S.A.

Greg Flanagan first invented the metal backplate using aluminum in 1979 for North Florida cave divers. He realized that a back-mounted buoyancy system gives a diver natural balance in the water, due to the diver's center of gravity (tanks) being surrounded by the center of buoyancy (BC wings). Plus, the diver gains a clean chest area with room for gear attachment points on the harness. Bill Hogarth Main went on to popularize the backplate and harness and dive purists who follow the DIR philosophy have come to embrace what is known today as the "Hogarthian Rig." Dive Rite began manufacturing backplates for the public in 1984 and pioneered 11-inch on center bolt spacing creating an industry standard that is still followed today.

Dive Rite Travel 360 Wing, (40 lbs. Lift)

Our ever-popular Travel Wing gets a facelift with a longer center panel that now accommodates metal backplates. Slightly longer than our original Travel Wing, the Travel 360 has 40 lbs/18 kg of lift and can accommodate up to 95 ft3/15L steel tank.

The Travel Wing is a popular choice among warm water divers looking for a compact single tank wing that is lightweight and easy to pack for travel. The donut-style shape provides an even volume of inflation, keeping single tank divers steady and trim underwater.

Tough, ballistic nylon outer bag protects the wing from tears and abrasion. Choose from several different lengths of exhaust hose and low pressure inflation hose length (see tech specs). Optional RiteSource integrated octo. Made in the U.S.A.

Dive Rite 32 lbs Quick Dump Weight Pocket (pair)

The original TransPac weight system that holds up to 32-pounds of weight, sixteen-pounds in each of the two pockets. Insert pouches are loaded with weight and drop down inside the pocket through the top zipper.

Quick release dump is achieved by pulling the red tab handles and the insert pouches drop out of the bottom, leaving the weight pocket intact on the diver's belt. Insert pouches may be purchased separately if lost or if they are unable to be recovered. Weight is kept securely in place via a heavy-duty Velcro flap.

The Classic Weight Pocket System was designed for use with the TransPac Harness where it is woven onto the waist strap over the waist plate and held securely in place. The Classic Weight Pocket System can also be easily worn with the TransPlate Harness.

Please note: Weight may vary based on denominations used to fill the pocket.

Dive Rite Backplate Lumbar Pad

The Backplate Lumbar pad is designed for use with hard metal backplates.

It alleviates pokes and prods from the plate into the soft area of the back and protects the exposure suit from possible bolt snags.

The Backplate Lumbar Pad attaches securely to any hard backplate by threading the shoulder straps through webbing loops at the top of the pad.

The lower portion of the pad attaches through the crotch strap slot with a webbing loop. A quick release buckle allows the pad to be lifted away from the plate for easy access to bolts when diving double tanks. Open-cell porous design allows the pad to release water and dry quickly, plus it resists compression allowing the pad to maintain its thickness and comfort-providing shape at depth.

Quick-dry fabric and drainage holes quickly release water and aid in drying

Dive Rite 1 Inch Crotch Strap

Preferred by most divers for its general comfort, the 1-inch crotch strap is ideal for fastening a harness and backplate securely to a diver's body. By using a crotch strap,

divers can reduce the likelihood of their gear slipping upwards on the body in the water, resulting in the tank hitting the back of the head during a dive.

Nylon webbing provides strength, yet is soft and won't dig into the body.

The 1-inch (25mm) crotch strap comes with a slide release buckle and scooter ring for divers who scooter and want the convenience of a crotch strap that can be adjusted easily.
