The 60 lb. non retraction single bag wing BC bladder was redesigned in 2008 to meet the stringent requirements of both Public Safety Divers (PSD) and Military divers around the world with regard to diving in either polluted water or HAZMAT conditions. It’s single bag bladder is coated both front and back with 4.7 ounces of TPU making it extremely resistant to chlorine and hydrocarbons. This makes it very desirable for use in highly chlorinated pools, which makes it ideal for instructors, as well as for professionals working in environments containing petrochemicals.
Since it is also designed to prevent the absorption of toxic liquids and other undesirable substances, it is easy to decontaminate as well as being chemical and abrasion resistant. While designed specifically for use with the OMS Chemical Resistant IQ pack for maximum chemical resistance, it is compatible with all OMS as well as many other harness systems utilizing 11 inch center mounting holes.
