What about Warranty?
Will everything I buy be covered by a full warranty?
Yes. Prime Scuba is an Authorized Dealer for everything we sell, and you will receive a Full Manufacturers Warranty on anything you purchase from us. We only sell brand new merchandise purchased directly from the manufacturer. Beware - some online and/or “discount” stores who are not “Authorized Dealers” are selling used, refurbished and “gray market” merchandise and claiming it is brand new. They claim to offer you a warranty which is “Just as good as the original manufacturers”... This is an “IN STORE” warranty only, and it cannot replace a Full Manufacturers Warranty. It will not be recognized by anyone in the Scuba Industry other than the store you purchased it from.
Please keep in mind that over the last few years, there have been recalls on some scuba equipment. If the equipment is not covered under a manufacturers warranty - not only would you have to pay much more to get your product fixed, ( assuming that an authorized dealer is even willing to fix it. Many will not service, or are not allowed to service equipment purchased from an unauthorized dealer) you might never know there's a problem! Any equipment purchased from a reputable dealer like Prime Scuba will have full warranty coverage, which means that the registered owners of these items would be notified - tracked by their warranty information on file with the original manufacturer, and problems corrected. Let’s face it, at a depth of 100 feet with a faulty regulator or failed BCD, you will probably not say to yourself, "Yeah, but look at all the money I saved by going with a store only warranty" ! Beyond this, many products like regulators and BCDs require a yearly maintenance schedule. Many manufacturers have a policy of supplying free parts if the unit is under warranty. This is a savings of $20 - $50 in the first few years alone!
